Join us as celebrate 30 years of preserving the rich heritage of The Mid-Norfolk Railway
Preservation Trust! Founded in 1995, we welcome you to our anniversary running weekend, featuring special timetables and a diverse array of locomotives to honour our journey. Experience the nostalgia and excitement of rail travel as we pay tribute to our dedicated volunteers as without their hard work over the last 30 years the MNR would not be here today. Come and be a part of this memorable celebration, where history meets adventure!
The MNR is planning on running a variety of different services across the two day event with diesel locomotives being used.
We can confirm that our popular Driver for a Fiver is back for this event, with driving experiences around Dereham Yard in between mainline services being offer with Class 03063 'Paul A. Mobbs' ****.
Update (18/08/2025) - We’re thrilled to announce that, in partnership with Romic Group Limited, the Mid-Norfolk Railway will be celebrating its 30th Anniversary with a High Speed Train 125 (Class 43) set in operation! Stay tuned as we’ll be revealing the exact Class 43s taking part soon! We’d like to take this opportunity to thank Romic for this opportunity.

Tickets can be bought at either Dereham or Wymondham Abbey station, if you are boarding at either Yaxham, Thuxton or Kimberley Park tickets can be bought on the train.

The Mid-Norfolk Railway also reserves the right to not serve alcohol to anyone it believes is below 18 years old, no refund will be made in this case.
